After a long wait, the Uttar Pradesh government has finally cleared the elevation of as many as 10 ias officers in the state to the level of additional chief secretary.

Senior administrator and secretary fertilizer Arun Singhal and ACS appointee Devesh Chaturvedi were also present in the meeting.
Among the IAS officers promoted include Nitin Ramesh Gokarn who is currently principal secretary housing; Himanshu Kumar who is posted as principal secretary
rural development; Kalpana Awasthi posted as principal secretary Governor and Rajneesh Gupta posted as principal secretary political pension and civil defence.
Also 1990-batch IAS officers including Deepak Kumar who is currently posted as principal secretary basic and secondary education,jitendra kumar posted as principal secretary general administration, Sudhir Bobde posted as principal secretary higher education,anita singh posted as principal secretary food safety and drug administration, Archana Agarwal posted as member secretary NCR Planning Board and Sudhir Garg principal secretary revenue were elevated as additional chief secretary.
