The Uttar Pradesh government has reappointed Rakesh Kumar Singh-II, #IAS (2009, UP cadre), as Chief Executive Officer of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) for a one-year term beyond his retirement. The move is aimed at ensuring continuity in the execution of major infrastructure projects, most notably the Noida International Airport in Jewar. Over his career, Singh has served as District Magistrate of Moradabad, Ghaziabad, and Kanpur, Vice-Chairperson of the Ghaziabad Development Authority, and Additional CEO of YEIDA. He is particularly noted for his anti-corruption drive in Gautam Buddh Nagar, where he exposed the Motilal Goyal land scam. Originally a PCS officer, Singh entered the IAS in 2016 and is regarded for his steady leadership and administrative acumen.
