The Uttar Pradesh government has appointed Alok Kumar, a 1993-batch IAS officer of the UP cadre, as the new Chairman of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). Known for his integrity and administrative acumen, Kumar currently serves as Principal Secretary, MSME & Export Promotion, and Principal Secretary, Infrastructure & Industrial Development & NRI Department.
YEIDA is a key urban planning and infrastructure authority, responsible for industrial, commercial, and residential development along the Yamuna Expressway corridor. With landmark projects such as the Noida International Airport and integrated townships, YEIDA is instrumental in enhancing regional connectivity, attracting investments, and promoting sustainable urbanization in the Delhi-NCR region.
Kumar’s appointment is expected to accelerate the authority’s initiatives, driving economic growth and infrastructural expansion in Uttar Pradesh.
