N Venkateshwarulu, Deputy Director of the Telangana State Public Service Academy (TSPA), welcomed his daughter, N Uma Harathi, a probationary IAS officer, during her visit to the academy as part of her training program.

During the visit, the trainee IAS officers received an insightful presentation on TSPA’s role, training methodology, and other essential aspects of their preparation. This training period at the Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resource Development Institute (MCRHRD), which spans from May 20 to June 30, 2024, is a crucial phase for these officers as they prepare for their future responsibilities.

IAS officer Uma Harathi, a 2022 batch officer, is currently undergoing training at the Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resource Development Institute (MCRHRD) as part of the Probationary IAS officers batch. An IIT alumnus, she successfully cracked the UPSC Civil Services Examination on her fifth attempt, beginning her preparation soon after graduation. Uma hails from the Nalgonda district of Telangana.
Her father played a significant role in encouraging her to pursue a career in civil service. She once shared, “He kept telling me what a great platform it is—both as a career and a place where I can do something meaningful.”
