Suhas LY is a badminton player. His ranking is number one in the country. He is the second player in the whole world. A trial series was organized at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Stadium in Greater Noida to select the team for the Para Asian Games. Currently Suhas LY is preparing for next year’s Para Olympics. He has won silver medal and bronze medal in the last two Para Olympics. His aim is to win a gold medal for the country in the upcoming Para Olympics.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Uttar Pradesh government had sent Suhas LY as the District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar on 3 March 2020. Suhas LY has been the District Magistrate of Maharajganj, Sonbhadra, Hathras, Prayagraj, Jaunpur and Azamgarh. Suhas LY was promoted on 27 February 2023. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has appointed him Secretary of the Sports Department.
