Mr.Shashi Prakash Goyal, an esteemed IAS officer from the 1989 batch, has had a distinguished career marked by a series of significant administrative roles. After his appointment to the IAS on August 21, 1989, Goyal began his journey as an Assistant Magistrate in Etawah. His career quickly progressed through various key positions across Uttar Pradesh, including Joint Magistrate in Mathura, District Magistrate in multiple districts, and Managing Director of UPDESCO in Lucknow.
Goyal’s expertise and leadership were further recognized as he took on roles such as Secretary to the Government of UP in several departments, including Irrigation and Programme Implementation. He also served at the central level as Joint Secretary to the Government of India in the Department of Higher Education.
Currently, Goyal holds the prestigious position of Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of UP, overseeing the Chief Minister’s Office, Civil Aviation, Estate, and Protocol Departments, in addition to serving as the Additional Resident Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh. His extensive experience and dedication have made him a pivotal figure in the administration of Uttar Pradesh.
