Mayur Maheshwari, an IAS officer from the 2003 batch, began his career on September 1, 2003. A Native of Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, and a B.Tech graduate, he has steadily climbed the administrative ladder through various critical assignments across the state.
Starting as Joint Magistrate & Collector in Kaushambi and Prayagraj, Maheshwari quickly moved on to become Chief Development Officer in Prayagraj. His role as District Magistrate & Collector took him to several districts, including Ballia, Azamgarh, Bagpat, Kanpur Dehat, and Badaun, showcasing his expertise in district administration.
He later served as Special Secretary in multiple departments of the Government of Uttar Pradesh, including Irrigation and Medical & Health, and also held the post of Project Director, UPHSDP. His experience was further enriched with his tenure in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in New Delhi, first as Deputy Secretary and then as Director.
Returning to Uttar Pradesh, Maheshwari took on leadership roles as CEO of UPSIDC, Managing Director of the Financial Corporation, and Incharge of the NRI Cell. Currently, he is serving as the CEO of UPSIDC, Incharge of the NRI Cell, and CEO of LIDA in Kanpur Nagar, a role he has held since September 2021, continuing to contribute significantly to the state’s development.
