Mr.Shahid Manzar Abbas Rizvi, an IAS officer of the 2006 batch, hails from Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. He holds an MSc in Physics and an MBA in IT. His journey in government service led to his appointment to the Indian Administrative Service on August 13, 2014.
Starting as the Chief Development Officer in Barabanki, Rizvi’s career swiftly advanced as he took on roles such as Special Secretary in various departments of the Uttar Pradesh government, including Industrial Development, Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC) Branch, Medical Health & Family Welfare, and Food & Civil Supplies.
He also served as the Director of ESI Medical Services in Kanpur Nagar (2014-2019) and as a Member of the Waqf Tribunal in Lucknow. He also worked as CEO, and later as Adminitrator of Shia Central Waqf Board(During its supercession).
His expertise in administration was recognized with his promotion to Secretary in the APC Branch before assuming his current position as Secretary in the Finance Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh on June 9, 2022
