Bureaucrats Magazine – It maybe mentioned here, 1990 batch IAS Officer of Sikkim cadre, Shri Vijay Bhushan Pathak, who was serving as the Additional Chief Secretary-cum Development Commissioner, Planning & Development Department with additional charge of Finance Department, was appointed as Chief Secretary, Government of Sikkim by the State government following the retirement of Shri S.C. Gupta, IAS (SK-1986) from the post on August 31, 2022.

Gupta, who superannuated from the post on Wednesday.

As per a DOP notification, the status of the new post is equal to that of the chief secretary.“All important policy matters files shall be channelized through the chief administrative advisor,” the notification reads.
