A farewell party was organised by officers of the Board of Revenue to accord a warm send-off to 1986-batch IAS officer Mukul Singhal, who retired on Friday.
Singhal will retire on April 30 but since April 30 is a holiday, the farewell was organised on Friday. Now the government will have to appoint a senior officer as new chairman of the Board, decision on which is yet to be taken.
Officers including Rajneesh Gupta, Sudhir Bogde, Manisha Trighatia, Ram Singhasen Prem, Anil Yadav, Bhishma Lal Verma, Sudhir Rungta, Sunil Jha were present in the party. Singhal handed over additional charge of UP Revenue Council chairman to Rajneesh Gupta.
