Mr. Abhishek Dixit is a 2006-batch Tamil Nadu cadre IPS officer Mr. Abhishek Dixit (IPS), an officer surrounded by corruption allegations, has received significant relief after receiving a clean chit in the departmental inquiry, which was approved by the Governor. Mr. Dixit, a 2006-batch Tamil Nadu cadre IPS officer, had been on deputation in Uttar Pradesh and has now returned to his parent cadre in Tamil Nadu.
While serving as the SSP (Senior Superintendent of Police) of Prayagraj, he faced serious allegations of corruption related to the transfer and posting of subordinate policemen. There were also complaints of non-compliance with instructions from senior police officers and laxity at work. Due to these allegations, he was suspended on September 8th, 2020. After 1.5 years, he was reinstated back to the service.
