The journey to success is often paved with challenges, and IAS officer Ayushi Jain’s story is a testament to perseverance in the face of adversity. Despite facing multiple setbacks, she remained steadfast in her pursuit of success and ultimately triumphed.
The path to becoming an IAS, IPS, or IFS officer requires immense dedication and unwavering determination. The UPSC Civil Services Exam, one of India’s toughest, demands nothing less. While millions of aspirants put their skills to the test, only a select few emerge victorious, achieving the ranks that turn their dreams into reality.
The road to success, though fraught with obstacles, imparts invaluable lessons along the way. IAS officer Ayushi Jain is a prime example of a UPSC aspirant who faced numerous setbacks yet persevered, ultimately achieving her goal by staying focused on success.
Ayushi Jain Gurdhani, a native of Sironj in Madhya Pradesh’s Vidisha district, emerged from a small town with big dreams. Despite her modest origins, she shattered the stereotype that lofty ambitions are out of reach for those from rural areas.
Ayushi’s journey was marked by numerous challenges. Her father runs a grocery store, while her mother is a homemaker. Ayushi, along with her two younger siblings, navigated these hurdles with determination, proving that perseverance can overcome any obstacle.
Ayushi Jain Gurdhani has always been a standout in academics, achieving 91.2% in her 10th-grade exams and 90.4% in her 12th. She went on to earn a degree in computer science engineering from Bhopal’s Lakshmi Narayan College of Technology, graduating with a CGPA of 8.68.
After completing her B.Tech, Ayushi worked as a data center administrator for two years. However, she soon decided to shift her focus to the UPSC exam, aiming for a career in the civil services. To prepare, she moved to Delhi, quit her job, and dedicated a year to coaching.
In 2017, Ayushi made her first attempt at the UPSC exam but didn’t clear the prelims. Undeterred, she revised her strategy and, in her second attempt in 2018, successfully cleared the prelims, though she fell short in the mains.
Despite facing two setbacks, Ayushi remained determined. She switched her optional subject from Mathematics to Anthropology after passing the prelims in her third attempt in 2019. This change, along with lessons learned from previous failures, led to a new approach in her preparation.
Her dedication to reading newspapers played a crucial role in her success across the UPSC Prelims, Mains, and Interview stages. In the 2019 UPSC exam, Ayushi secured an impressive AIR 41, earning her a place among India’s IAS officers.
