IPS Officer Laxmi Singh Cracks the Whip in Gautam Budh Nagar, Suspends Officers for Crime Control Failures
Noida: In a decisive move to tighten law and order in Gautam Budh Nagar, Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh (IPS: 2000 batch) conducted a late-night crime review meeting at 10 PM on Friday, leading to disciplinary action against multiple officers for poor performance in crime control.
Following a review of crime data from May and June, the commissioner removed two police station in-charges from their posts and suspended six outpost in-charges for failing to act effectively against rising criminal activity. Departmental action has also been recommended against them.
Those suspended include outpost in-charges from Morna (Sector-24), Okhla (Sector-126), Junpat (Surajpur), Ghanghola (Kasna), Kakrala (Phase-2), and NPX (Knowledge Park). The crackdown signals a zero-tolerance approach under Singh’s leadership, aimed at restoring public confidence and accountability within the police force.
