Bureaucrats Magazine – Breaking News – Shri Akshat Verma IAS (Uttar Pradesh 2017) presently Chief Development Officer- Sitapur, has been transferred and posted as Municipal Commissioner of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.
Bureaucrats Magazine –In a bureaucratic reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh, 2017 batch IAS officer Akshat Verma has been given a big responsibility. He has been appointed as the new Municipal Commissioner of Varanasi. He was serving as the Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Sitapur district before this new posting.
Bureaucrats Magazine –Mr. Verma had been transferred earlier in March this year but it was subsequently cancelled. He was CDO in Sitapur and got transferred to Prayagraj as CDO but this order was cancelled and he remained as the CDO of Sitapur.
The young officer hails from Ayodhya. He was born on 6 September 1990. His father is a doctor in the Ayodhya District Hospital.
His primary education was completed from Army School in Ayodhya itself. After that, he completed his B.Tech from IIT Roorkee in 2012.
While pursuing B.Tech, he also did internship at the Beijing Jiaotong University, China. After completing engineering, Akshat Verma became an assistant engineer in the Ministry of Road Transport.
Along with this, he also started preparing for civil services exam. First, he cracked the exam and got selected as IRS in 2015 by securing 667th rank. Thereafter, he worked as Assistant Commissioner in the Income Tax Department.
