Bureaucrats Magazine –IN fasting for nine days during Navratra, I aimed to address life-style related problems and diseases, including BP fluctuation, diabetes and obesity. One does not need to pop pills, go for surgeries and visit doctors frequently. Human body has an inbuilt mechanism which can control and cure these issues by strict dietary controls,” Kumar told ToI after breaking his fast on Ram Navami. Kumar tells he has lost nearly six kg in nine days, has blood sugar in control and his waistline is two inches less.
Bureaucrats Magazine –“If Prime Minister Narendra Modi is so fit and energetic, one reason could be his annual water fasting and that inspired me,” concluded Kumar. “During these nine days, I went to office and worked and followed normal routine,” remarked Kumar, who said that he had been experimenting water therapy for curing life-style related diseases. The senior IAS officer cautioned that one must undergo medical tests to avoid any risk before planning to observe this unique fast.

I consulted surgeon for bariatric surgery and liposuction too, but dropped the idea and decided to fast and use water therapy,” said Kumar took only salt and lemon in water .
