among 16 IAS officers shifted

In a major reshuffle, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has transferred 16 IAS officers, including Additional Chief Secretary (Information and MSME) Navneet Sehgal, sending a clear signal that he means business. Sehgal has been made Additional Chief Secretary (Sports).

Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Sanjay Prasad will now have additional charge of Home and Information departments. The post of ACS (Home) fell vacant after the retirement of Awanish Awasthi on Wednesday.

ACS (Health and Family Planning) Amit Mohan Prasad has been made the ACS (MSME, Export Promotion, Khadi & Village Industries, Handicraft, and Textile).

Health Minister and Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak had objected to the style of working of Prasad and raised questions over transfers being carried out in the department.

Parth Sarthi Sen Sharma, who returned from Central deputation, has been appointed as Principal Secretary (Health and Family Welfare).

ACS (Governor) Mahesh Kumar Gupta has been sent to the Energy department in the same capacity while ACS (Technical Education) Monika S Garg has been made ACS (Minority Welfare and Muslim Waqf).

ACS (Infrastructure and Industry Development) Arvind Kumar has been made the CEO of Uttar Pradesh Industrial Expressway Development Authority (UPEIDA). ACS (Basic Education) Aradhana Shukla has been made ACS (AYUSH).

Himanshu Kumar has been made the Principal Secretary of Rural Development and Rural Engineering Services.

Principal Secretary (General Administration) Hari Om has been sent to the Social Welfare department in the same capacity while Principal Secretary (Sports) Kalpana Awasthi has been made the Principal Secretary (Governor).

Principal Secretary (Tourism and Culture) Mukesh Kumar Meshram has been given the additional charge of the Religious Affairs department while Principal Secretary (Horticulture) Rajesh Kumar Singh has been made Principal Secretary (Prison Administration and Reforms) as well as Director General of Prison.

Agriculture Production Commissioner and ACS (Rural Development) Manoj Kumar Singh has also been given the charge of Panchayati Raj, Horticulture, and Food Processing department in the same capacity.

Member (Judicial), Revenue Board, Sudhir Mahadev Bobde has been made Principal Secretary (Higher Education) while Principal Secretary (Basic Education) Deepak Kumar has been given additional charge of the Secondary Education department.
