Bureaucrats Magazine – Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday expressed his displeasure against the officials who indulge in delay, negligence and irregularities in disposal of revenue promises. The Chief Minister has summoned answers from 10 Divisional Commissioners and seven District Magistrates of the state including Varanasi on the poor disposal of revenue promises in October. It is believed that if satisfactory answers are not received, strict action can be taken against the officials.

Bureaucrats Magazine – Additional Chief Secretary Revenue Sudhir Garg said that the Chief Minister had given instructions to run a special campaign of 60 days for quick and timely disposal of pending revenue cases in various revenue courts of the state.

In such a review meeting in October, it was found that ten Divisional Commissioners (Varanasi, Saharanpur, Azamgarh, Aligarh, Basti, Chitrakoot Dham, Azamgarh, Ayodhya, Saharanpur, Aligarh) and seven District Magistrates (Baghpat, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Hapur, Chitrakoot, Lalitpur, Amroha) is being negligent in settling the pending and new revenue issues.

Bureaucrats Magazine – On this, on the instructions of the Chief Minister, the government has summoned the negligent officers. Also, strict instructions have been given to ensure timely and quality disposal of pending revenue claims as per the standard and set target. It is believed that if the answer is not satisfactory, major action can be taken.

Bureaucrats Magazine – Only 82 cases were resolved against 440 pending cases in Varanasi division.Additional Chief Secretary Revenue said that negligence is being done in disposal of pending cases in five divisions of the state. He said that there are four revenue courts in Varanasi division, where only 82 cases were disposed of against 440 pending revenue cases. Similarly, there are four revenue courts in Saharanpur division, where only 54 cases were disposed of against 280 pending revenue cases, whereas there are five revenue courts in Azamgarh division, where only 126 cases were disposed of against 481 pending revenue cases.

Bureaucrats Magazine – There are three revenue courts in Aligarh division, where only 83 cases were disposed of against 280 pending revenue cases, whereas there are three revenue courts in Basti division, where only 114 cases were disposed of against 280 pending revenue cases. Apart from this, the bottom five divisions performing poorly in disposal of newly filed suits include Chitrakoot Dham, Azamgarh, Ayodhya, Saharanpur and Aligarh. Similarly, notices have been served to seven District Magistrates on salivation in disposal of revenue cases.
