Bureaucrats Magazine -It is noteworthy that Pankaj Kumar was born on 10 September 1979 in Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. His primary education took place in Banda only. After that Pankaj Kumar obtained the degree of Bachelor of Arts. After that Pankaj Kumar became an IAS officer of the year 2002 batch. IAS Pankaj Kumar’s wife Manisha Trighatia is also an IAS officer.
Bureaucrats Magazine -IAS Pankaj Kumar was first posted on the post of Joint Magistrate of Deoria district on 10 August 2004. After that, the government transferred IAS Pankaj Kumar and posted him as Chief Development Officer of Mainpuri district on 26 April 2006.

After that, IAS Pankaj Kumar was transferred to the post of Special Secretary, APC Department, Staff Officer of the Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Government in the state capital Lucknow on 11 June 2007.

After that, IAS Pankaj Kumar was made the Managing Director of Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited in Varanasi district on 3 July 2009. After Varanasi district, IAS Pankaj Kumar took over as Collector of Basti district.

IAS Pankaj Kumar had held the post of DM in Muzaffarnagar district for almost a year.
After that, the government sent IAS Pankaj Kumar to Lucknow on waiting on 18 March 2012.
